We met at Penn State and lived through the stress and scams of NYC roommate hunting ourselves. Jilo is our answer.
Our story
We are Parth and Arnav, two friends who met at Penn State. Between us we have moved enough times to know the drill: endless Craigslist threads, bots, ghosting, and the small lifestyle clashes that turn a lease into a year of friction. We thought finding someone to live with should feel less like a gamble and more like a good match.
So we built Jilo: a card-based, swipe-to-match experience with a compatibility X-ray that scores logistics, lifestyle, and daily habits before you ever say hi. We are launching across the whole New York City metro, all five boroughs plus nearby spots like Jersey City and Hoboken, so you can match wherever you are actually looking.
Trust first
Every account is verified before it can message or list. We would rather grow slowly than let a single scammer through.

A five-chat limit and neighborhood-based matching keep conversations real and local, instead of a graveyard of dead "hey" threads.
