We met at Penn State and saw how stressful and scammy NYC roommate hunting was. Jilo is our answer: intentional, verified, hyper-local matching.
Our story
We are Parth and Arnav, two friends who met at Penn State. Between us we have moved enough times to know the drill: endless Craigslist threads, bots, ghosting, and the small lifestyle clashes that turn a lease into a year of friction. We thought finding someone to live with should feel less like a gamble and more like a good match.
So we built Jilo: a card-based, swipe-to-match experience with a compatibility X-ray that scores logistics, lifestyle, and daily habits before you ever say hi. We are launching first in Bushwick to keep matches dense and local, then expanding across NYC.
Trust first
Every account is verified before it can message or list. We would rather grow slowly than let a single scammer through.
